WHO WE ARE

This website is operated by Stuart Robson trading as SUNBEAR PICKUPS. We are a manufacturer and retailer of handwound guitar pickups and retailer of associated hardware.  We collect, use and are responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so we are regulated under the General Data Protection Regulation which applies across the European Union (including in the United Kingdom) and we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information for the purposes of those laws.

OUR COLLECTION AND USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may collect personal information such as your name, postal address, email address, phone numbers, date of birth and payment details.  We may also collect details of your feedback and comments, your order history, your engagement with competitions or campaigns which we have run, and your browsing activity.  

We may collect this personal information about you when you access our website, register for our mailing list, contact us either face to face or electronically or by text or by telephone, send us feedback, purchase products or services via our website, post material to our website or social media pages, or participate in competitions via our website or social media pages.

We may monitor and record communications with you (such as telephone conversations and emails).  We may do this to check the quality of our customer service, record any orders made by you, or to make sure we are complying with legal requirements.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to respond to any questions, complaints or claims made by you or on your behalf, and to keep records required by law or as is considered best practice taking into consideration the nature of any purchase(s) which you have made from us.

We will also retain your personal information on our database for marketing purposes for a maximum of six years, subject to your right to request that we erase your information at any time.

When it is no longer necessary to retain your personal information, we will delete or anonymise it.

While we will use all reasonable efforts to keep your personal data safe, you acknowledge that the use of the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason we cannot guarantee or accept liability for the security or integrity of any personal data that is transferred from you or to you via the internet.

We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify you individually.
